Truffles: hunting & cooking & tasting

 

When you visit Istria, you just have to go truffle hunting!

To help you get your most authentic Istrian experience during your summer holiday, IstraTerra has prepared a special holiday truffle hunting experience.

 

 

Are you coming with us?

Our truffler Sara and her dog Lisa will open the door to the mysterious world of truffles. Together we will head to the hidden corners of the forest, where with a bit of luck we will find the fragrant tuber among the roots of the trees. After hunting, we will turn into cooks and prepare typical Istrian pasta (fuži) and truffles. The cherry on the cake will be a glass of excellent wine made by a local winemaker.

 

 

  

 

Where do we meet?

We will look for truffles in the Istrian hinterland. Transport from Piran, Portorož, Izola and Koper will be organized.

 

When are we going?

Join us on Saturday, June 30th, at 6pm. In July and August we will collect truffles every Thursday afternoon.

 

How to book?

Simple! Follow the link HERE. Truffles: hunting & cooking & tasting can be bought at a single price of €99 in the Tourist Information Centres in Piran, Portorož, Izola and Koper, as well as at some tourist agencies, hotels and private accommodations or directly at IstraTerra. IstraTerra has prepared this trip in cooperation with the Tourist Association of Portorož, the Tourist Organization Koper and the Tourist Association of Izola.
