IstraTerra on their way to bringing together the tourism offer of rural Istria

IstraTerra has made a new step towards bringing together the small and fragmented tourism offer of rural Istria, with the long-term goal of joint development and improvement of the environment in which we operate. Having successfully applied to the tender for the ‘Selection of operations to start-up social enterprises and youth co-operatives in 2016-2018’ and financial support from the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, our activities have gained new momentum.

One of the most important goals we are committed to at IstraTerra tourism agency is the strengthening of tourism in rural Istria. The additional revitalisation of the rural areas will bring about its gradual development, that’s why bringing together the rural tourism service providers, who pursue high quality and innovation in their offers, is of paramount importance. The path to higher quality can be seen primarily in the development and implementation of their own quality standards, additional education and training of providers and the integration of individual providers in comprehensive and customised for the buyer by the buyer rural Istria tourist products. “We believe that this is our ticket onto foreign markets,” said our very determined director of IstraTerra Urška Križman Vižintin.

In order to more easily reach our goals and be better prepared for our launch onto foreign markets, we enlisted the help of KonektOn Business Service Centre. Together we made a very detailed business plan, took an in-depth look at our operations and established solid foundations for our future operations – a business model, set strategic goals for our company and compiled a marketing strategy accompanied by the relevant financial construction and predicted business results. Planned and focussed work along with the constant monitoring and evaluation of results are key to the success of our objective – growing IstraTerra, strengthening our position on the market, strengthening our role in networking and finding sustainably focussed providers who will help us develop the environment in which we operate.

Thanks to our good preparation, we believe in the success and development of Slovenian Istria.
