Istraterra among the top six socially impacting young companies in Slovenia

The commitment of IstraTerra – to co-create with other providers a model of fair sharing on the market and to raise the quality of tourist offers in Slovenian Istria – meant that we could join the Goodbiz programme, which is designed to improve a company’s readiness for investments and to connect young social companies with potential investors.

The Goodbiz programme is a part of a broader community, which with integration, knowledge and investment in people, supports sustainable growth and business developments to change the world for the better. “The last four months in Goodbiz have been extremely intense and this is how – in the programme, as well as to our main mentor Urša Ferlic from Linea directa – we obtained strong support for  the work and goals we wish to reach. “An excellent network of experts and entrepreneurs opened up to us, who are prepared to stand alongside us and to continue providing guidance”, director Urška Križman Vižintin is convinced.

 

A special experience for IstraTerra was the participation on the event Investirajmo bolje, da bo dobro vsem (Let’s invest better so that everyone will benefit) that offered an opportunity for the consolidation of connections among small/young and big companies. From thirteen companies that also intensively developed their own business in the Goodbiz programme, we broke through to the top six and we presented our idea and need of investment to banks, private investors and representatives of state institutions.

 

 

Not only the event itself, but also the entire mentoring programme has brought new opportunities, good connections and the attention, which has yet to be realised and utilised in IstraTerra.

Our goal is to follow pre-set plans and to reinforce promotional activities through investments, especially on foreign markets.

The Istraterra team is built on individuals, which maintain the relations between users and preparation of offers, qualitative implementation of experiences and building and reinforcing relationships with tourist service providers. “We believe that with regulated high standards of quality, we ensure our guests and foreign partners a safe purchase and a possibility for an authentic and active educational experience in our local environment,” adds Križman Vižintin.
